Delete your BahiSathi account
BahiSathi is made by AppsYoda. You can erase your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, without asking us. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data afterwards.
Export your records first
GST law expects you to keep the invoices you issued for six years from the due date of the annual return for that financial year. Deleting your account destroys our copy, and we cannot bring it back. Download the PDFs and your GSTR-1 export before you continue.
How to delete your account
Option 1 — in the app
Immediate, and you stay in control
- 1Open BahiSathi on Android and sign in.
- 2Tap Settings.
- 3 Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- 4 Confirm. Your data is erased there and then, and the app signs you out.
Option 2 — by email
If you no longer have the app
Write to us from the email address the account is registered under — that is how we confirm the request is yours. Say that you want your account deleted; you do not need to give a reason.
We reply within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it is your account.
What is deleted
Everything below is erased permanently. There is no recycle bin and no undo.
- Your account, name and email address
- Every business you own, with its GSTIN, address, logo and signature
- All quotations, invoices, credit notes and debit notes in those businesses
- Your saved customers and price list items
- Team members you invited, and their access to your businesses
A business you joined but do not own is not yours to delete, so it stays. We remove your seat and your access to it, and its owner keeps their records.
What is kept, and for how long
Your account is gone from our live systems the moment the deletion runs. Three things outlive it, none of which we use to identify you afterwards.
- Encrypted backups
- Up to 30 days, then overwritten on a rolling cycle. Nobody restores from them to recover a deleted account.
- Billing records, if you ever paid for Pro
- Eight years, because Indian tax law requires us to keep our own books. This is AppsYoda's invoice to you — never the documents you created in the app.
- Server logs
- 30 days. They record requests, not the contents of your documents.
